Laura Jeanne Sims earned her PhD in History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015. Her dissertation analyzed Harki and Pied-Noir collective memory practices in Fifth Republic France. She has published essays in Keith Moser, ed., A Practical Guide to French Harki Literature (Lanham: Lexington Books, 2014), and Amy Levin, ed., Global Mobilities: Refugees, Exiles, and Immigrants, in Museums and Archives (Routledge, 2016). Laura currently teaches at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens, France.
