Ana Matilde Sousa is a visual artist and scholar from Lisbon. In 2012, she began creating art comics under the pseudonym Hetamoé and co-founded the artist collective MASSACRE in 2020. Her artworks have been featured in works by alternative comic publishers and others in Portugal and internationally in Europe, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong. She has authored academic articles and book chapters on comics and Japanese contemporary art and pop culture, and has participated in conferences in Europe, the United States, and East Asia.
