arie m. dubnov is an Associate Professor of History and Max Ticktin Chair of Israel Studies at George Washington University. His research focuses on twentieth-century Jewish and Israeli history, with an emphasis on Israeli cultural history and the history of pre-statehood and early statehood political thought. Among his publications are Isaiah Berlin: The Journey of a Jewish Liberal (2012) and the edited volume Zionism: A View from the Outside (2010, in Hebrew). He is currently editing a volume on partition politics during the 1920s–1940s.
