Matthew Cipa lectures in Film and Television Studies in the School of Communication and Arts at The University of Queensland, Australia, where he completed his PhD in 2020. His doctoral research examined how metaphysical concepts are artistically transformed through stylistic form and narrative across a range of films and television programs and are made sensible to spectators via the aesthetic experiences such works offer.
