A friend sent me the call for submissions for the first TURBA journal because a photo of my body—from a performance in which I lie facedown on a marble staircase—was on the cover of the as-yet-unpublished first edition.

Adam Kinner is a performance-maker, musician, and artist living in Tio'tia:ke/Montreal. He works provisionally and across forms, taking a research-based, improvisatory, and collaborative approach, often working with artists from dance and music. He holds an MA from Concordia University in Montreal and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
