Maipelo (she/her), a Botswana-born and South African-trained embodied practitioner currently serves as a doctoral researcher at Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH), under the guidance of her primary supervisor, John-Paul Zaccarini (he/him). Zaccarini holds the position of Professor of Performing Arts for Bodily and Vocal Practices and directs FutureBrownSpace (FBS), an enclave conceived for individuals from the global majority navigating predominantly White fields and institutions.

Contributor Notes

River Lin is a performance artist and curator working with the contexts of dance, visual, and queer culture. His work has been presented internationally by institutions including Centre Pompidou, Palais de Tokyo, M+ Museum, and the 2016 Taipei Biennial among others. He was a shortlisted artist for the 2022 Live Art Prize. Based in Paris & Taipei, he is currently curator of Taipei Arts Festival.

Liang-Kai Yu is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Literature and Art in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University. Grounded in queer of color and intersectional feminist theories, his research delves into contemporary LGBT+ artistic interventions within Dutch and international art museums. In 2020, Yu co-curated the exhibition Survival of the Exceptional at Tainan Art Museum. His research has been published in Sexualities and Journal of Material Culture.
